Gutter Cleaning & Brightening

Gutters have two problems, and most companies only fix one. Inside: leaves, shingle grit, and maple helicopters pack in until water pours over the edge and dumps against your foundation. Outside: black “tiger stripes” of oxidation and grime bake onto the face where rainwater has run over for years.

We do both — clear the inside so water goes where it should, and brighten the outside so the gutters look new from the street.

Signs it's time

If any of these describe your place, a wash will make a bigger difference than you'd think.

  • Water sheeting over the gutter edge in heavy rain
  • Black vertical stripes down the gutter face that a hose won’t touch
  • Plants sprouting out of the gutter (yes, we see it constantly)
  • Downspouts that trickle instead of flow
  • Staining on siding directly below the gutter line

Our approach

Clean-out plus brightening — the full job

The clean-out is done by hand and flush: debris scooped and bagged, then every run and downspout flushed with water until it flows clean. Clogged downspouts get worked until they clear.

Tiger striping is oxidation bonded to the paint, and no amount of plain pressure removes it. We apply a dedicated gutter brightener that dissolves the oxidized layer, then rinse — the difference is immediate and dramatic.

All debris leaves with us. No piles left in the yard or flowerbeds.

What's included

  • Hand clean-out of all gutter runs
  • Every downspout flushed and confirmed flowing
  • Exterior gutter faces brightened to remove tiger striping
  • Debris bagged and hauled away
  • A heads-up if we spot damaged hangers, seams, or pitch problems while we’re up there

What affects the price

Every property is different, so we quote each one individually — free, fast, and with no obligation. These are the things that move the number:

  • Linear feet of gutter and number of stories
  • How packed the gutters are (first clean in years costs more than maintenance)
  • Brightening only, clean-out only, or both

FAQs

Gutter Cleaning & Brightening questions

What are the black stripes on my gutters?

Oxidation from the gutter’s own finish mixed with road film and grime, bonded to the surface by years of runoff. Regular washing won’t remove it — it takes a dedicated brightening product, which is exactly what we use.

How often should gutters be cleaned out?

Twice a year is the safe rhythm here — late fall after the leaves drop, and late spring after the seed pods and pollen. Homes under heavy tree cover may need a third visit.

Do you install gutter guards or repair gutters?

No — we’re a cleaning company. But we’ll tell you honestly if we see loose hangers, failed seams, or standing water while we’re up there, so you can get it fixed before it becomes water damage.

Can you brighten the gutters without doing a clean-out?

Absolutely. Plenty of customers with gutter guards just want the outside looking new again. Pick whichever you need on the quote form.

While we're there, we can also handle…

Bundling services in one visit is the cheapest way to do this — one setup, one trip charge, better price per surface.
